Dieulafoy's lesion

Etiology: - idiopathic Epidemiology: - 2% of upper GI bleeds Pathology: - bleed from Dieulafoy's artery - 6 cm above gastroesophageal junction - proximal stomach along the lesser curvature - submucosal arterioles intermittently protrude through the mucosa - isolated pumping arteriole without mass or ulcer
